About Norma

Norma brings over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and consulting in the pharma/biopharma industry across Europe, Asia, and North America. Relocating from Canada to China, Singapore, Switzerland, and the US, she held progressively senior roles at Eli Lilly, Lederle/Cyanamid, Amgen, and Takeda.
Roles included Global Commercial Head Bone & Inflammation and Neuroscience at Amgen, Vice President of Marketing for Eli Lilly China, and Eli Lilly Canada, and most recently Vice President Commercial Learning & Development (L&D) at Takeda US.
Norma led the international commercial team in the successful launch of denosumab/Prolia, the first PCP targeted monoclonal antibody. Prior to that, she had extensive experience in the leadership of multiple prelaunch, launch and LOE brands.
A belief in the profound business impact of employee talent development led Norma to create Amgen’s first Global Commercial L&D organization. Norma was responsible for Sales, Sales Leadership, Marketing, MBA, Global Value & Access, and General Management learning strategies. Amgen’s General Management program was the first of its kind; focusing on the core competencies of country leaders and emphasizing both business and personal skills to elevate performance and create a ready talent pool for succession planning.
Leading 100+ Global Learning Professionals across Europe, N. America, JAPAC and Intercontinental, the team received numerous external awards for creativity and innovation in learning including :2017 Innovation Award (LTEN), 2018 Telly Silver Award, Communicator Distinction Award and Hermes Creative Platinum Award.
Most recently, Norma established Takeda USBU’s Commercial L&D function post-merger with Shire. Her team oversaw the technical skill development for all commercial staff as well as leadership development and DE&I initiatives for the broader business.
Today, Norma brings a unique combination of expertise in pharma commercialization and best-in-class learning that can deliver a competitive advantage for her clients.
Norma has two daughters pursuing professional careers in the US and Canada. She is currently moving to Pinehurst, North Carolina with her husband.
