Matt Brown is an accomplished agency leader and brand strategist, having spent the past two decades successfully building and launching dozens of healthcare brands for clients such as Genentech, Gilead, Johnson & Johnson, Merck and Zoetis. In addition to creating great brands for clients, Matt has spent the past 10 years building some of the industry’s leading agency brands. Most recently, Matt launched BrandMETTLE, an agency focused on bringing branding expertise and innovative technologies to brands engaging the 50+ consumer. Previously, Matt successfully created Guidemark Health by merging 5 independent healthcare agencies. While CEO of Guidemark Health, Matt served as interim CEO of Bluespire Marketing and Ariad Communications for about a year, which were both owned by the same private equity group as Guidemark Health.
Before Guidemark Health, Matt served as general manager of ICC Lowe. In addition to guiding the organizations transformation, Matt oversaw client relationships, new business activities, and worked closely with clients on the marketing of their products. Prior to ICC Lowe, Matt served as president of Ignite Health. During his tenure, the agency was nominated for Agency of the Year in recognition of significant growth and expansion. Matt served as senior vice president/managing director for GSW Worldwide prior to joining Ignite Health. During his 10 years at GSW, he held several positions with responsibility for leading account services, new business, staff development, as well as innovative business models and communications solutions for clients.
Matt is a graduate of The Ohio State University and served in the Army National Guard for 6 years before starting his professional career. Matt lives in Long Valley, New Jersey with his wife and 3 children.
