About Dan

Dan McCormick brings over 25 years of experience in biopharma, devices, and diagnostics, following four years of service as an officer in the Marine Corps. He has built highly collaborative cross-organizational teams to drive incremental revenues in multiple U.S. and ex-U.S. markets while having worked with both industry leading manufacturers and service companies. Focusing on new commercial and medical affairs models, Dan leverages business analytics and intelligence, efficient channels, and technologies to develop strategic solutions that focus investments for highest impact. He constructs agile external partnerships and service agreements to execute fully integrated operational plans to optimize launch effectiveness. His broad perspective is a culmination of experience that spans numerous sales, marketing, strategy and market access roles. He has engaged nearly every commercial and medical function to successfully target providers, payers, and advocacy groups across multiple specialties, including oncology, nephrology, cardiology, urology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology, and OB/GYN. He has rallied many large cross-organizational teams to drive sales results in multiple markets, including biotechnology, medical devices, capital equipment, and diagnostics.
Dan serves as a board member for Promaxo, a medical technology company that develops and commercializes MRI systems. Dan serves as a strategic advisor for Kineticos Ventures, an investment firm focusing on significant, unmet medical needs in oncology, neurosciences, and rare diseases. He also serves as an advisory board member for Kickstart Venture Services, a UNC Chapel Hill organization that helps facilitate and accelerate start-up companies spinning out of the University.
Dan holds an M.B.A from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC, and a B.S. in business administration from the UNC Chapel Hill. A frequently solicited industry conference speaker, Dan’s topics have included “Creating Sustainable Change,” “Channel Optimization in Pharma,” “Selling Value Through Technology,” and “Strategies for a Customer-Centric Approach to Business Growth.” Accolades include: PHARMAfield UK Magazine’s “Movers & Shakers” and PM360 Magazine’s “Innovators” award.
Dan is happily married with 3 lovely daughters and a son, and he looks forward to traveling with them when not working. Raised on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Dan also loves the ocean and the Tar Heels —he enjoys the beach, scuba, spearfishing, lobstering and Carolina basketball!
