About Bob

Bob brings more than 25 years of life science strategic planning and product commercialization experience with both large and small pharma/biotech companies, and start-up environments. He is entrepreneurial and has an excellent grasp of business and economics, as well as current commercialization challenges. He has broad therapeutic area knowledge and a strong clinical background, with a particular expertise in oncology, as well as expertise in product strategy, launch planning, commercial operations, training, and business development.

Most recently, Bob has worked as a principal at BioSmarketing Solutions and as a consultant for Herspiegel Consulting, most often helping client organizations prepare for product launch. Bob has been a VP of Sales and Marketing for several companies, including Algos, Hexim and his own company DexGen Pharmaceuticals. At Genentech, he was instrumental in developing and implementing the PEL (Professional Education Liaison) and TLL (Thought Leader Liaison) programs. Bob has also been instrumental in developing and delivering best in class pharmaceutical sales and speaker training for several companies and products in several disease states, including oncology, at Amgen, The Liposome Company, Centocor, Algos, Genentech and Cyclacel.

Bob began his career as a sales representative for Upjohn and Amgen. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Connecticut and also studied at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
