Bob Jansen – CEO

Bob Jansen founded Zensights in Dec. of 2012 to provide insights to Lifescience companies and those suppliers that service the industry. He is a veteran of the Pharmaceutical and Life Science community. Bob transitioned to the vendor side after spending over 19 years in various leadership roles at different Pharmaceutical manufacturers. Most recently, Bob was President and General Manager of Source Healthcare Analytics, a Symphony Technology Company (formerly Wolters Kluwer). 

Bob collaborates with a vast network of Life science executives and key opinion leaders to help clients determine “Best in Class” vendors. These “Zensights” help BioPharma manufacturer’s determine which vendors have a “Best in Class” offering on a capability by capability perspective. Pharmaceutical budget holders provide first-hand, candid vendor reviews. This is key to discerning vendor performance.

These insights often help suppliers determine shortcomings or opportunities to augment their product offerings to help their end customers. (Life science/Pharma manufacturer’s) Further, Zensights focuses on providing deeper insights on vendors whose key differentiator tends to be their employees.

Sharon Clarke – Chief Commercial Officer

Sharon Clarke brings more than 20 years of deep industry experience and accomplishments to her role as Chief Commercial Officer of Zensights. Sharon specializes in building and leading commercial organizations in highly competitive, cost-sensitive markets. She rose through the ranks of Sales, Sales Operations and Marketing management before becoming the President and General Manager of MEDA US, an affiliate of a Swedish pharmaceutical company. In that role, Sharon led the US division to increased revenue and record profitability while launching four products in the highly competitive respiratory and pain therapeutic markets.

Capitalizing on the unmet need in the marketplace for strategic advisors with strong C-suite level experience, Sharon founded Patriot Advisors, a business consulting firm that brought best practices to small pharma organizations seeking to develop efficient, cost-effective commercial organizations. She advised emerging biotechnology companies and established global
pharmaceutical companies who were looking to optimize organizational effectiveness and develop leadership at all levels of their organizations.

For the past 4 years, Sharon has led Commercial Operations for emerging pharmaceutical companies – building their initial commercial teams and operational infrastructure, and leading launches of both pain and neurology products. Critical elements of these roles included finding exceptional vendors and forging strategic partnerships that created value and provided high-quality services at price points consistent with the constraints of emerging organizations.

In addition to her work at Zensights, Sharon is active in her community and serves on two Boards. She is a member of the Board of Directors for JDP Therapeutics, a privately held, clinical Phase 3 stage specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing small molecule therapeutics to treat life-threatening diseases. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees (President’s Circle) of East Tennessee State University, from which she was graduated magna cum laude with degrees in Microbiology and Chemistry.

Sharon lives in Robbinsville, New Jersey. She and her husband have 3 children and enjoy spending their time with family, exercise and watching their favorite sporting events.

Elaine Oussoren – Chief Marketing Officer

Elaine Oussoren is an accomplished leader with direct experience in field sales, medical communications, digital marketing, patient engagement, and health technology. She has consistently worked within the pharmaceutical industry on breakthrough projects including first time implementations for EHRs, Nurse Educators, Digital Marketing, IT platforms, Social Media, and Artificial Intelligence. Her open-mindedness, perspective, and enthusiasm feed her commitment to improvements in healthcare.

Her experience with integrated digital marketing includes the ability to gain cross-functional collaboration from medical, technical, and creative skillsets. She founded an early digital marketing agency, Boomerang Pharmaceutical Communications and led her team in the execution of hundreds of projects. Her role included leading global assignments, process improvement, strategy development, tactical planning, and award-winning innovations.

Elaine’s most recent experience has been with health tech innovation, focused on patient engagement. She has worked on innovative approaches for patient recruitment, retention, PRO collection, and RWE/RWD collection.

Elaine has a BS in Public Service from Penn State. She lives with her wife and Labradors in Montville NJ.

Barry Brandstetter – Principal

Barry Brandstetter is an experienced commercial leader and proven business builder who brings over 30 years of pharmaceutical manufacturer and service provider know-how to his clients. During his career, Barry has built broad and deep knowledge and experience in pharma. His combination of client-side and service-side experience enables him to identify opportunities and problems and to develop solutions and recommendations to meet clients’ business needs.

Most recently, Barry was the Global Head of Commercial Integration for Syneos Health. In this role, Barry and his team worked with pharmaceutical companies to provide fully integrated and customized commercial infrastructure, business strategy, and support services to their clients. Services included positioning and branding, marketing strategy and campaigns, sales and sales management, sales operations, advertising and promotion, medical communications, clinical and regulatory support, and market access services.

Previously, Barry was SVP of Client Service for Possible Worldwide, a digital marketing communications company, where he was business leader for a diversified portfolio including healthcare, CPG, retail, and B2B. Barry also spent five years as Senior EVP at GSW Worldwide, a global pharma ad agency. At GSW he had responsibility for Client Service, HR, and PR.

Barry gained significant pharma experience during his years at Roche, Abbott, and Sanofi. Roles included General Manager, Marketing and Product Management, Sales Management, Marketing Research, and Head of HR and Sales Operations & Training. He developed skills in marketing and sales, financial management, contract negotiation, HR, and people management, and was consistently recognized as a business builder and problem solver.

Barry earned a bachelor’s in business from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Xavier University. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and family where they enjoy college sports, the arts, and traveling.
